This book presents different visual themes and patterns of movement by the Danish silent movie actress Asta Nielsen (1881-1972).
With her body language, Asta could tell stories and personify her characters - bringing them to life and giving them meaning, hundreds of meanings. She produced "the pursuit of happiness through the drama of the body". We have looked closely at Asta and examined her Affect.
